Victoria renews deal to run railroad coaches to hill resort

Victoria Hotels and Resorts has renewed a deal to rent railroad cars for a further seven years between Hanoi and Lao Cai in northern Vietnam to serve tourists going to mountain resort town Sa Pa.

It will also spend US$1 million on jazzing up the four passenger cars and one dining car it leases from the state-owned Hanoi Passenger Rail Co.

It has been operating the service, which runs twice daily in both directions, for six years now.

In the south, EVA Advertising Co. Ltd recently won the right to run an entire train between Ho Chi Minh City and the tourist city of Nha Trang, some 400 km away, for the next seven years.
